Structure Fire At SPI In Sonora

Sonora, CA — CAL Fire is on the scene of a fire at Sierra Pacific Industries on the 14,000 block of Camage Avenue. That is off of Tuolumne and Standard Road in Sonora. They say smoke can be seen coming out of the building and flames are shooting out of a large saw dust hopper. There are reports that workers at the business are helping to put out the flames. Also, CAL Fire reports power lines are down so motorists will want to use caution in the area.

Update 2:30p.m.: CAL Fire says the SPI building is not on fire, but a hopper with saw dust in it is a blaze. They say they have a good handle on the flames.  CAL Fire reports PG & E crews have been called in to fix the downed power lines.
