Tuolumne County, CA — CAL Fire is on the scene of a house fire near Columbia. The home is in the 10,000 block of Highway 49 near Mormon Creek Road in Tuolumne County. There is no word on how the fire started or whether anyone is inside. We will bring you more information as soon as it becomes available.

Update 3:45pm: CAL Fire says flames were shooting out of the house when they arrived and crews are still battling the blaze. Four people were displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross.
Update 4:30pm: CAL Fire says home is a total loss. A Fire Investigator has been brought in, but there is no word on what sparked the blaze.
