Sonora Business Expo Takes Place Thursday Evening

The Sonora Business Expo will be held on Thursday, March 7th from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Sonora Opera Hall, located at 250 S. Washington Street, Sonora, CA.

Tiffany Phillips, Valley Sierra Small Business Development Center Business Adviser, was Wednesday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.

This event is free to the public. Walk-in’s are welcome. Snacks will be provided.

Human Resources expert Steve Keyzers will be talking about the new employment laws. Officer Ashley Brandow from the Sonora Police Department will be speaking on preventing business theft.

Sponsors include Valley Sierra SBDC, Sonora Chamber of Commerce, S.C.O.R.E. Tuolumne County, Workplace Sonora, TCEDA, Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau, Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce and the City of Sonora.

The mission of the Valley Sierra SBDC is to promote the development, growth and success of small businesses by providing high quality business consulting and training throughout Tuolumne, Mariposa, Stanislaus and Merced Counties, thereby enhancing individual, family, community and regional prosperity.
