Update: Structure Fire In Calaveras County

Update at 4:50 p.m.: CAL Fire reports that all incoming resources have been called off as the house fire has been contained. It is unclear where the fire started, but when fire crews arrived on the scene in the 11220 block of Main Street in Sheep Ranch smoke was rising up from under the home. There is no word on damage to the house or what sparked the fire, which is under investigation.

Original post at 3:30 p.m.: Sheep Ranch, CA — Firefighters are on the scene of a house fire in Sheep Ranch area of Calaveras County.

The blaze is in the 11220 block of Main Street near the El Dorado Creek roadway. CAL Fire reports that when firefighters arrived on the scene smoke was coming from underneath the single story home, which is under construction. There is no word if anyone was inside the house when the fire started or whether flames have spread to any nearby vegetation. We will update this story as soon as new information comes into the newsroom.
