CHP: Roadway Flooding Creating Traffic Headaches

Sonora, CA — The heavy rainfall has resulted in roadway flooding, and mudslides, in various areas of the Mother Lode.

The CHP reports that there is a mud and rock slide on Jacksonville Road near Twist Road. Various stretches of J-59, notably near Highway 108, has also been experiencing heavy roadway flooding.

In addition, there are vehicle accidents reported on Dodge Ridge Road, J-59 near Bonds Flat Road, Jacksonville Road near Twist Road and Highway 4 near Big Trees Village Road.
