Sheriff Pooley Will Talk About Crime Trends

Sonora, CA — This weekend is a chance to hear from Tuolumne County Sheriff Bill Pooley.

On Mother Lode Views he will highlight recent crime trends in the community. The Sheriff will also give an update on the construction of the new jail and talk about new initiatives that he is implementing.

Pooley stepped in as the acting sheriff this past summer following the retirement of Jim Mele, and during the first week of January he was officially sworn in to start his four-year elected term.

Pooley started his career as a member of the Sonora Police Department, later went to the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office, then the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office, became the City of Riverbank’s Police Chief, and later the undersheriff in Tuolumne County.

Mother Lode Views airs Saturday and Sunday morning at 9:30 on AM 1450 and FM 102.7 KVML. Mother Lode Views can also be heard Sunday morning at 10 o’clock on 93.5 KKBN and at 9 a.m. on STAR 92.7.
