Power Outages And School Delays

Sonora, CA — Thousands of PG&E customers are without power in the Mother Lode this morning due to equipment damage stemming from the high winds and storm system overnight.

Hardest hit areas include 2,400 near Groveland, 2,100 near Mi Wuk Village and Long Barn, 1,300 in Mokelumne Hill, 315 near Phoenix Lake, 240 west of Murphys, 225 split between Dorrington and Camp Connell, about 100 in the Columbia area and over 70 in Twain Harte. Since the outages are so widespread, it is difficult for PG&E to estimate when there will be full restoration. To report an outage, or to request information on a specific neighborhood, you can call 1-800-PGE-5000.

Due to the outages, some schools have called for a late start today. Click here to find the latest information.

There are also several downed trees reported across the region, so allow yourself extra time when traveling today.
