Update: Vegetation Fire In Tuolumne County Contained

Update at 4 p.m.: CAL Fire spokesperson Emily Kilgore reports that the grass fire burning along Highway 49 in the Tuttletown area near the intersection of Fraguero and Buckeye Mine roads has been contained at a half acre. She adds that what sparked the blaze is under investigation and crews will be mopping up for the next hour.

Original post at 3:30 p.m.: Tuttletown, CA — Air and ground resources are heading to a report of a vegetation fire in Tuolumne County.

The flames were spotted along Highway 49 in Tuttletown area near the intersection of Fraguero and Buckeye Mine roads , which is close to  Rawhide Road. CAL Fire had no details on the fire’s size or the flame’s rate of spread or whether any structures are threatened. We will update with further details as soon as more information comes into the news center.
