Columbia Aircraft Helping To Fight Triangle Fire In Midpines

Update: The forward rate of spread was stopped at around five acres.

Original story posted at 4:38pm: Midpines, CA — If you notice aircraft overhead late this afternoon, it is because resources from the Columbia Air Attack Base have been sent to a fire in the Midpines area of Mariposa County.

The incident is being called the “Triangle Fire.” It is in the area of Triangle Road and estimated to be around 5-10 acres in size. No additional information is immediately available.
