Ringing In The Holidays In Sonora

Sonora, CA – Lights, floats, bands and a little help from Mother Nature packed downtown Sonora with revelers to enjoy what is the kick off to the holiday season.

There were nearly 60 entrants in last night’s 34th Sonora city sponsored Historic Sonora Christmas Parade that traveled down Washington Street/Highway 49. The crowed was delighted by the music of Sonora High’s Golden Regiment Band, lit up fantastic floats, fire engines, classic cars, gold wing motorcycles, horses, area Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and of course the main attraction – Santa and Mrs. Claus. The big guy greeted all with a “Ho, Ho Merry Christmas” on the final float of the evening to wish all  a happy holiday season. Plenty of pictures of the parade can be viewed in the image box.
