Expect Overnight Traffic Delays On Mono Way

Sonora, CA — Construction on the Mono Way and Greenley Road widening project is switching back to the evening and early morning hours this week.

Be prepared for up to 10-minute delays between the hours of 7pm-7am. Work this week will consist of pavement patching and crack sealing, as well as pavement grinding, in anticipation of the final overlay, which is scheduled for the first week of November. Crews will also be working on installing wiring for the new traffic signal system. The city recommends that motorists take alternate routes during the construction hours, if possible. Those headed downtown from the east will find it faster to use Highway 108 to Washington Street, rather than taking Mono Way. The project should be completed around the second week of November.
