Sonora Regional Medical Center Changing Its Name

Sonora, CA — As part of a new initiative to become “One Adventist Health,” Sonora Regional Medical Center (SRMC) will soon have a new name.

SRMC will become known as, “Adventist Health Sonora.” The hospital is part of the Adventist Health Network, which has 20 hospitals, 23,600 employees, 5,000 physicians and 4,350 volunteers. The new initiative is taking place throughout the Adventist Health network.

SRMC President and CEO Andrew Jahn says, “As ONE Adventist Health we can bring a greater breadth and depth of resources to our communities.”

A new mission statement, “Living God’s love by inspiring health, wholeness and hope,” is also designed to broaden the focus from solely caring for the sick to helping communities be healthier.

In addition, the hospital reports a new tagline, “Together Inspired,” reflects coming together with the community and the power that the connection will have to move neighbors toward a healthier life.

SRMC staff members were notified about the pending change this morning and it will take effect in the near future.
