Update at 1:30 p.m.: Highway 4 remains blocked by a big rig crash near the Pool Station Road intersection between Copperopolis and Angels Camp in Calaveras County around 11:30 a.m. The CHP has shut down the roadway due to the truck overturning and stretching across the roadway. Officers continue to turn around traffic, with the CHP relaying that the detours are through Valley Springs using Milton Road or Sonora using O’Byrnes Ferry Road and Highway 49 in Angels Camp. No estimated time for the highway to reopen has been released. The CHP is asking motorists to avoid the area if possible. The CHP reports no injuries in this wreck.
