Update: Crews Make Progress On Vegetation Fire In Tuolumne County

Update at 1:30 p.m.: Fire responders are getting a handle on a fire burning in the 150000 block of New Peoria Flats Road between New Melones and Tulloch Lakes. Cal Fire reports the flame’s forward rate of spread has been stopped at one acre. No structures are threatened and several resources have been released from the scene, according to Cal Fire.

Original post at 12:40 p.m.: Jamestown, CA — Fire resources are battling a vegetation fire in the Jamestown area.

Cal Fire reports the flames broke out along New Peoria Flats Road between New Melones and Tulloch Lakes. All of Columbia aircraft have been called to the area. Cal Fire report the fire is one acre in size with a slow rate of spread. There is no word on whether any structures are threatened at this time. We will bring you more information as soon as it comes into the news center.
