Tuolumne County Planning Commission To Review Apartment Project

Sonora, CA — A proposed apartment complex just outside the city limits of Sonora will go before the Tuolulmne County Planning Commission next week.

The Cooper’s Hawk Terrace project would be situated to the north of the intersection of Sylva Lane and Beckwith Road, near the Greenley Oaks Townhouses. The plan proposes nine residential structures be spread over 2.4 acres. There would 18 dwellings, with 12-two bedroom units and 6-one bedroom units. In addition, there would be six garage structures.

The Planning Commission will be tasked with deciding whether to issue a site development permit for the project and whether to approve the indemnification agreement with the developer. In addition, the commission will review the mitigated negative declaration environmental document.

The meeting will start at 6pm, October 5, in the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors meeting room at 2 South Green Street in Sonora. It is open to the public.
