Update at 1:11pm: CAL Fire reports the small fire along Appaloosa Road has been contained and many of the initial responding resources are being released. What ignited the fire is under investigation. At least one nearby vehicle also reportedly sustained damage.
Original story posted at 1pm: Angels Camp, CA — Air and ground resources are responding to a fire in Angels Camp.
It is near the intersection of Appaloosa Road and Pinto Drive. CAL Fire reports that it is estimated to be a 100 ft. x 100 ft. spot of vegetation. There is some smoke visible in the area.
