Vegetation Fire Near White Pines Lake

Arnold, CA — Firefighters have quickly stopped a small vegetation fire near White Pines Lake just outside of Arnold.

The fire is reportedly located near the back side of the lake, opposite of the beach area. CAL Fire dispatched air and ground resources, and the forward rate of spread was quickly stopped. The small fire is estimated to be 55 ft. by 50 ft. in size. The air resources were quickly released, but two engines and a water tender will remain on scene to mop-up the incident. What ignited the fire is currently unknown.
