Firefighters Report Progress On Pacheco And Stagecoach Fires

Calaveras County, CA — One of the fires that ignited on Tuesday in Calaveras County is now 100-percent contained and the other has reached 71-percent containment.

The fully contained Stagecoach Fire near Copperopolis reached 35 acres. CAL Fire Spokesperson Lindy Shoff reports that the cause remains under investigation. Mop-up efforts continue today at the site in the 3300 block of Stagecoach Road.

Meanwhile, the Pacheco Fire near Jenny Lind is holding at 341 acres and it is 71% contained. The cause also remains under investigation. Shoff notes, “We have roughly 158 personnel on scene, which is approximately 15 engines, four crews and a couple of water tenders.” The fire is situated off Lanford Pacheco Road.
