Update: Structure Fire In Calaveras County Contained

Update at 3:50 p.m.: Cal Fire reports the house fire on the 8000 block of Clark Street in Mokelumne Hill has been contained. Cal Fire spokesperson Lindy Shoff indicates, “The home was a single story structure. The fire was in one of the back bedrooms and everyone was out of the house.” Three engines remain on scene mopping up.

Original post at 3:30 p.m.: Mokelumne Hill, CA — Firefighters are battling a house fire in Mokelumne Hill off Highway 49.

Cal Fire reports the call came in just after 3 p.m. of a home on fire in the 8000 block of Clark Street near Stevenson Street. Cal Fire spokesperson Lindy Shoff relays, “At this point we just know it is a single story structure, wood frame home, fire is in the back of the house with heavy smoke coming out of the attic.” Shoff adds that the residents are out of the house and the flames have not spread to any nearby vegetation.

There are two engines on the scene.
