Update: Vegetation Fire Threatening Homes Contained

Update 2:30 p.m.: Cal Fire reports the fire has been contained at a half acre. Crews battled the flames for more than a half hour and will remain mopping up for the next couple of hours, according to dispatch.  There is no word on what sparked the blaze.

Original post at 2:14 p.m.:  Tuolumne County, CA — Crews are on the scene of a vegetation fire in Tuolumne County that is threatening some homes according to Cal Fire Dispatch. The flames broke out along J-59 near Highway 108. Crews are actively battling the blaze which is 1/2 acre in size and moving at a slow rate of spread, according to dispatch. We will bring you more information when it comes into the newsroom.
