SPD Investigating Greenley Road Crash

Sonora, CA — A Sonora woman sustained major injuries after crashing into a vehicle in a parking lot.

Sonora Police Chief Mark Stinson says it happened at around 6:15pm on Wednesday in the 200 block of Greenley Road. 62-year-old Linda Anderson had been driving southbound on Greenley Road and attempted to turn into the parking lot. Due to her excessive speed she lost control of her Kia Spectra and collided with the rear of an unoccupied parked pickup truck. Anderson sustained major injuries and was taken to Sonora Regional Medical Center. Chief Stinson says it is unclear if drugs or alcohol could be a contributing factor, and he notes the investigation is ongoing.
