Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Supervisors will vote on Tuesday whether to accept $13-million in AB 900 funding for a new county jail.
It is in addition to the $20-million that has already been allocated to the county in SB 1022 money. It will go a long way toward funding the overall project, to be constructed off Old Wards Ferry Road, which is expected to cost over $42-million. (Update: approved by unanimous vote)
On Tuesday, the Supervisors will also vote whether to approve a lease agreement to allow ATCAA to use a facility on Victoria Way in Jamestown for its food bank operations. (Update: ATCAA lease approved by unanimous vote) The county also plans to respond to the recent Tuolumne County Grand Jury Report, discuss a plan to help fund the upcoming Greenley Road/Mono Way widening project, and hold a public hearing on the 2015/16 final budget.
The meeting will start at 9am in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room.
