Sonora, CA — Firefighters are heading to a vegetation fire in Sonora sparked by a possible transformer explosion.
Cal Fire reports the blaze is in the 390 block of Alpine Land near Calaveras Way. There are also reports of possible downed power lines. We will bring you more information as soon as it is available.

Update 8:15 am: Cal Fire reports the fire is out and was just a 50′ by 50′ spot. They say the reports of a transformer exploding were false.
