Don Pedro Fire Update

Lake Don Pedro, CA — Firefighters make quick work of a four acres vegetation fire near Lake Don Pedro in Tuolumne County.

Cal Fire reports the forward rate of spread has been stopped. Crews continue to battle the fire from the ground and air.  The flames broke out near the Lake Don Pedro Visitors Center at 12:25 pm. No structures are threatened. There is no word on what sparked the blaze.

Update 2:20 pm: Cal Fire reports all aircraft have been called off the fire.
