Calaveras County, CA — Firefighters quickly contained a roughly one-acre vegetation fire in the 5500 block of Railroad Flat Road.
The fire was reported at late during the noon hour. Air resources from Columbia were initially dispatched, but they have now been released back to base. Some engines will remain on scene this afternoon for mop-up operations. No homes or structures were damaged. The cause is under investigation.
