45-Acre Fire In Calaveras County

Copperopolis, CA — Air and ground resources are on scene of a 45-acre vegetation fire located between Copperopolis and Angels Camp.

The fire ignited near a ridge in the area of Oak Valley Road and Pool Station Road.  To view a map of the area, click here. CAL Fire reports there are some homes in the area threatened, but it is not immediately clear how many.

The fire has a moderate rate of spread and there is no containment at this time. The CHP has been called in to help direct traffic at Pool Station Road and Highway 4, and at Pool Station Road and Riata Way. You will want to avoid the area.
