Vegetation Fire In Tuolumne County

Moccasin, CA — Firefighters and Columbia Air Attack are on the scene of a vegetation fire on Highway 49. The fire is near the Moccasin Creek Trout Hatchery. Cal Fire reports the blaze is 5 acres in size and no structures are threatened at this time. We will bring you more information as soon as it is available.

Update: 3 pm: Cal Fire now reports the blaze has grown from 5 acres to 30 to 40 in size and still no structures are threatened at this time. Three additional engines and two strike teams have been called to the fire.
