Tuolumne County, CA — Ground and air crews continue to attack a 287-acre vegetation fire sparked by a car crash on J-59 and Old Don Pedro Road near the northwest shore of Don Pedro Reservoir. Cal Fire reports the forward progress has been stopped. The fire is being called the Hetchy Incident. The CHP reports a vehicle went off the roadway and flipped over igniting grass on the side of the roadway. The roadway was shut down for more than an hour as a tow crew removed the debris from J-59.
