Hunters Fire 95% Contained

Mariposa County, CA — Cal Fire reports the Hunters Fire is 95% contained at 677 acres this evening.

Cal Fire Spokesperson Jody Stanners says, “Firefighters continue to mop up, patrol, and work on fire suppression repairs.”

At one point, there were over 900 firefighters on scene in Mariposa County, but the number has dropped to 639. A total of nine injuries have been reported and three structures have been destroyed. Cal Fire expects to have full containment by Monday.
