Standard, CA — Firefighters are on scene of a chip pile fire at the Sierra Pacific Industries Standard Mill.
Workers at Sierra Pacific Industries had well started extinguishing the fire by the time the first responders arrived. CAL Fire reports that it is now contained. No buildings or structures were damaged, but there is still a lot of activity this morning in the Standard Road area. What caused the pile fire is not immediately known.
