Highway 49 To Close For Parade

Angels Camp, CA — The annual Kiddie Parade will help kick off the Calaveras County Fair this morning.

Due to the event, Caltrans reports that Highway 49 will be closed from approximately 10am – 11:30am in downtown Angels Camp. An alternate route will be set up to direct traffic around the parade. Caltrans estimates that it will result in about five minute delays.

This year’s Fair Theme is “Fun for the Whole Herd.” Day One has been declared “Cowpokes and Critters Day,” Friday is “Healthy Heart Day,” Saturday is “Broncs, Bulls and Big Hair Day,” and Sunday is “International Frog Jump Day.”
