Hot Rods, Horses and Spiderman

On Your mark, get set, and go enjoy all the Mother Lode has to offer this weekend.

On Saturday, get behind the wheel of some cool cars at the 14th Annual Hot Copper Car Show.  It is one of Mother Lode’s largest car shows with food, music and fun! Open Free to the public at the Copperopolis Town Square starting at 8 a.m. and running to 4 p.m. The Lake Tulloch Lions Club sponsors it.

You can also saddle up for the Calaveras Horsemanship Round Up.  It was cancelled for the April 26th weekend due to the rain, but is back this weekend.  Click here for the schedule.

You can name a colt.  The Rehores Rescue Ranch is holding an “Open House/Baby Shower” on Saturday. There is a “Name the Baby” contest. You can also meet and greet with all the horses. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Rehorse Ranch in Jamestown.

Want to meet a super hero then head to Regal Sonora Stadium 10 Movie Theatre in Sonora.  It is the Spiderman Saves Lives event. Learn how our local heroes are saving lives.  Local Community businesses will be on site to provide safety awareness for people of all ages. In addition, ATCAA food bank will be on site for food donations and drop offs, as well as local law enforcement and fire department officials with demonstrations.  The event kicks off at noon and runs until 4 p.m.

On Sunday, come celebrate Mother’s Day a little early at the Mother’s Day Family Tea Party. There will be a Mommy & Me Fashion Show, Storytelling, Yummy Treats & Tea, Mother’s Day craft, entertainment by Randi Murray’s Dance Studio, and much more!  The party is at Wilson Ranch in Jamestown from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.  All proceeds benefit Randi Murray’s Dance Studio, a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization.
