West Point House Fire

West Point, CA — Fire destroyed a home in West Point last night.


It started at around 6pm in the 1800 block of Higdon Lane. The house was fully engulfed in flames when the first responders arrived at the scene. There were no reports of injuries and the cause is under investigation. It also resulted in a small nearby spot vegetation fire. The home is in a rural area. Four Cal Fire engines responded, as well as resources from Mokelumne Hill Fire, Central Fire, and San Andreas Fire.
