Columbia Air Units Up

Jamestown, CA — Fire Fighters and aircraft are headed to a blaze in Tuolumne County. Cal Fire the vegetation fire is on the 13000 block of Twist Road South of Jamestown. There is no word on size, rate of spread or whether any structures are threatened at this time. We will bring you more information as soon as it is available.

Update 1:15 pm: Cal Fire reports it was actually a shed on fire and firefighters are working to keep the flames from spreading to nearby vegetation. 


Update 1:30 pm: Cal Fire reports the Columbia air units have been called off the fire and are returning to base.


Update 1:45 pm: Cal Fire reports crews were able to keep the flames from spreading to nearby vegetation. They say a pump house/shed was destroyed in the fire which is now contained.
