Tuolumne City Rim Fire Staging Area

Sonora, CA – There remains an Evacuation Advisory for the city of Tuolumne. As seen in the photos of downtown Tuolumne and the staging area, it is advisable to avoid the area.

The Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau says you can call them at 1-800-446-1333 to find out about available rooms to stay in Tuolumne. Tuolumne County does have vacancies. Executive Director of the TCVB, Nanci Sikes, says there are a few room available in downtown Sonora and East Sonora. She says there are a lot of rooms available, due to tourist cancellations, up Highway 108 including in Twain Harte. Groveland hotels are at capacity but central Jamestown and Columbia hotels still have rooms available. Many places are offering discounts to evacuees and emergency service personnel.
