Vegetation Fire In Calaveras County

Sheep Ranch, CA — Fire Fighters and all Columbia Aircraft are heading to a vegetation fire in Calaveras County. The blaze is located on Armstrong Road near Sheep Ranch Road in Sheep Ranch between San Andreas and Arnold. There is no word on size, rate of spread or whether any homes are threatened at this time. We will bring you more information as soon as it is available.

 Update 10:15am: Cal Fire reports the blaze is 3 acres. The also changed the location to Hubbard Road and Armstrong Road near Sheep Ranch. They say one structure is threatened, but there is no word on what type of structure.

Update 11:10am: Cal Fire reports the fire has grown to 5 to 7 acres.


Update 11:30am: Cal Fire reports the blaze has grown to 7 to 10 and the forward rate of spread has been stopped.


Update 1pm: Cal Fire reports the flames have been contained at 7.3 acres.
