“Power Fire” Grows To 100 Acres

Stanislaus National Forest, CA — The “Power Fire” in the Stanislaus National Forest has grown to 100 acres.


It is located along the eastern edge of Beardsley Lake, along Hells Half Acre Road. Forest Service officials report that the fire poses a potential threat to the Donnell Curtis Transmission lines, which officials are working to protect. There is also potentially one home in the area that may need to be evacuated. Resources are on scene from the Forest Service, Tuolumne County Fire and CAL Fire.


The cause of the fire is unknown. There is no containment yet, and the growth potential is “moderate to high.” It was first spotted at 6am today.
