Calaveras Transit Rolls To The Music

Bear Valley, CA – Calaveras Transit is expanding its routes to let riders tune into music. Bus routes from San Andreas, Murphys and Arnold will be extended to include Bear Valley to provide round-trip rides for concert goers to some Bear Valley Music Festival events from July 26 through Aug. 9 to six of the festival’s events.

Calaveras Transit General Manager Cynthia Lawrence says this service was provided several years ago and they want to offer it again to give back to the communities they serve. “The idea is that as long as we cover our fair box recovery and cover our costs we can do it. It’s open to the public and only on specific dates and they do have to reserve their ride. Also it’s a different cost than regular service. We’re hoping we make this part of our yearly schedule,” said Lawrence.

Tickets are $20 round-trip. Lawrence says they need at least 20 riders each trip to cover costs. Click here or call (209) 753-2574 or (800) 458-1618 for more information.
