Update: More than 6,000 Without Power In Calaveras

Update at 3:30 p.m.:  PG&E report all of the power has been restored to the over 6,000 customers that lost their electricity for about three hours this afternoon. The areas impacted were along the Highway 4 corridor stretching from Copperopolis to Sheep Ranch and including Angels Camp and Murphys. The utility blamed the outage on the weather. We reached out to PG&E asking exactly what type of weather event and what happened, but have not yet received a response.
