Update: Red Flag Warning For The Mother Lode & Stanislaus National Forest

The National Weather Service has extended the Red Flag Warning for the Mother Lode, the Stanislaus National Forest and the Northern San Joaquin Valley, until 6 PM tonight.

Winds from fifteen to twenty-five mph will continue at times, with gusts ranging from thirty-five to fifty mph.

The minimum humidity today will range anywhere from 8 to 20 percent.

The combination of low humidity, dry fuels, and gusty winds during this period will result in critical fire weather conditions.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
