Cleanup Moves Quickly

The morning after, only the mud remained.

By 9 a.m. Saturday, Sonora´s streets were reopen, although a few were still slick with a thin coating of mud.

The water was gone, standing only in puddles by the roadside.

The hillsides around the construction areas of the East Sonora Bypass and the Sonora Community Hospital showed the signs of erosion: deep gashes into the mud, surrounded by the hay spread over the dirt to prevent erosion.
