Firefighters are investigating the cause of a blaze that destroyed one building at the Long Barn Lodge resort early Friday morning. The vintage 2 story building was engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived just after 3:30. All occupants of the building got out safely.
Crews saved the adjacent Post Office building, also a vintage wood structure, and a skating rink to the rear of the main lodge. Fire marshall Kary Hubbard says a new hydrant system, installed about a year ago, helped keep losses to a minimum.
