A California-Nevada panel overseeing Lake Tahoe has approved plans to figure out how many buoys are in the lake and how many of them are illegal.
The bi-state Tahoe Regional Planning Agency says illegal buoys will have to be removed, and owners will be asked to dig out concrete, old engine blocks or other material used to anchor them.
