Ag Expo Protesters Face Felony Charges

Only six protesters arrested at Sacramento’s agricultural conference last month will face charges. That’s out of 60 demonstrators arrested in all.

The charges filed include felony vandalism and spitting at an officer.

The demonstrators were upset, saying that world farm officials are looking to force genetically engineered food on people in poor countries. The protesters called it “Frankenfood.” Farm officials say that the biotech effort is a way to feed people around the world.
