The state attorney general says convictions will be overturned or pending charges will be dropped for about 800 accused child molesters in California. That´s because the U.S. Supreme Court ruled yesterday that statutes of limitations cannot be erased retroactively.
Lawyers say the ruling ifies most pending clergy sex abuse prosecutions in California.
