The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado ripped through northern Merced County Friday night.
Another confirmed tornado, near Manteca, wiped out more than 300 almond trees and knocked shingles and tiles from the roofs of several houses. There were over 10 tornadoes and funnel clouds reported throughout the Central Valley on Friday.
