Jamestown Beer Stolen And Then Recovered

Jamestown, CA — A couple of homeless Temecula men, 21 year old Joseph James Luke Owens and an un-named 17 year old, were only looking for a place to stay.

According to Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department Lt. Dan Bressler, Owens has found a place to stay; the county jail.

Thursday evening shortly after five o´clock, Owens and his partner made off with a case of Sparks Plus beer and two 12 packs of Steele Reserve beer from Barendregt Grocery in Jamestown. Witnesses were able to provide the car´s description and license number.

This morning around two o´clock, a sheriff´s deputry pulled the 1994 Saturn over and discovered the missing beer. The only one missing was the 17 year old transient. Owens was arrested for being in possession of stolen property and driving under the influence.
