Phone Lines Down In Jenny Lind And Copperopolis Area

Copperopolis, CA– Residents in the Jenny Lind and Copperopolis area with 785 and 786 prefixes can expect problems with their phone connections.

Fiber optic phone lines have been damaged and repair may take several hours. Residents will not be able to contact anyone outside those prefixes. Many phone calls will also not be recieved during this time.

Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department officials assure residents that 911 is working, but for now the calls are being directed to the Copperopolis Fire Department and then being sent to the Sheriff´s Department due to the problem.
