Sonora, CA — Sonora hosted an Arbor Day Tree Ceremony at Woods Creek Rotary Park this afternoon.
City Administrator Greg Applegate says the ceremony consisted of the planting of two trees and was long overdue.
Applegate says the trees are a part of what enables Sonora to be a Tree City USA.
Applegate says trees are a high priority within the city and they have a tree planting ceremony every year.
