Sonora, CA — Recent fire reports indicate the vegetation fire on Highway 49 south of State Route 120 is now five acres.
Some engines have been released; however officials say the fire is not yet contained.
CHP reports indicate the roadway will be closed until after 7:00pm due to smoke and equipment. Traffic is being escorted through by CHP cars on the east side of the road.
